ICU tech Kick-off 09. – 11. June 2023

Every 2 years ICU tech Poland and ICU tech Switzerland meet each other for a common weekend event. This year it was Switzerland’s turn to host.

After the arrival of our guests, we already went to visit a traditional alphorn making factory in Eggiwil. It was a real highlight to admire and experience this old art on site.

Back in Signau, the quarterly meeting was on the agenda, a fine lunch formed the transition to the bilateral exchange and the visit of the offices in Signau.

In the afternoon, the group was shifted by minibus to Solothurn. After check-in at the Hotel an der Aare, which impresses with a mixture of modern and historical charm, we set off for the next experience: Urban Golf on the Attisholz site. An outdoor fun and relaxed teambuilding event for all.

After a more or less successful game we enjoyed various specialties from the grill at the restaurant “La Chiquita” on the same grounds.

Saturday morning could be used individually. Around midday we took the cable car from the Oberdorf valley station up to Weissenstein. The subsequent leisurely hike to Nesselboden was well tolerable in temperature thanks to a lot of forest and offered wonderful views.

We ended the evening with a delicious dinner under the trees on a wonderful garden terrace in the old town of Solothurn.

And already the last day of this weekend started. The end of the kick-off was approaching with an exciting guided tour through Solothurn followed by a boat trip to Büren, which was accompanied by excellent weather. After saying goodbye to the Polish team, they left for the airport and we went home to Emmental.

Conclusion: the meeting with ICU tech Poland was again very interesting, informative and important for the good cooperation. Everything was well organized, varied and we were treated to some very creative and unique culinary delights. A successful event, which will remain in our best memory – many thanks to Markus and Madeleine Adam for the planning, organization and execution!
